I'm Going to Spain!!

So, here's the deal: I'm studying abroad in Barcelona for 4 weeks followed by an additional 3.5 weeks in Madrid and hopefully other places. I'm so excited! (And, not going to lie, a little nervous) I'm going to try and write about my experiences here as much as I can, but I won't have internet at home and will have it at the University 4 days a week. Between my spotty internet availability and my busy calendar, it will be quite the adventure. I'm taking a Spanish class that is focused on speaking, which will hopefully help my vocabulary (they don't really teach vocab in college). Class goes from 10A to 1:30P and we have a small break for lunch. I'll live with a woman named Maria and a fellow student name Sylvia in an apartment in downtown Barcelona. It will be like living at home; Maria will cook for us, breakfast, lunch and dinner. I haven't had any contact with her so I don't know what her place is like or what she's like. The program director, Jordi, said most host families were single, older women. I've met my roommate and we click really well and I know another girl from one of my classes this semester, so I'll know a couple people! We have activities planned for us, but I'll keep them a surprise for later! I leave Monday at 7:10P and fly to Zurich then from Zurich to Barcelona.
